On February 15th Professor Slavko Gaber from University of Ljubljana presented the EIPSI project to a group of 18 teachers and school leaders from Elementary school Lava in Celje and Gymnasium Celje Center. Central to his discussion was the idea, which also guides the EIPSI project, that international and national research as well as internal (teachers and school) evaluations and reflections should be taken into account when considering upgrading and changing school practices and systems. As Lava Elementary School is one of the pilot schools of our project due to its successful work in improving social inclusion and equity aspect of teaching and in particular the transition from primary to upper secondary education, a content-rich presentations of the problems identified by teachers and school leaders both from Elementary school Lava and their colleagues from Gymnasium Celje Center in their analyses followed.
